Clam Diggers Beach House & Restaurant

This little restaurant was a very pleasant surprise! (Note it was rainy out so we could not site outside- the deck looked awesome!). The wait staff is very friendly, service quick. The house merlot was pretty good and so was the honey lager on tap. At our table we ordered the mesquite grilled salmon salad (salmon served cold, btw. It was delicious! I had them put the salad dressing on the side and it was the right call. The fish was so flavorful that the salad needed nothing else.), the pan seared halibut and the pan seared salmon (both very well cooked and served with the same sides; citrus rice, cauliflower and tomato/mango salsa. First of all, we were glad we had a reservation on a Wednesday night, as the restaurant filled quickly. We saw the reasons for this: a very comfortable and attractive dining room, friendly and timely service, and meals with all the right touches from start to finish. I had the chef's special pasta, which featured P.E.I. Seafood in a yummy sauce over linguine. Our crab cake apps were zippy and flavorful. Clam Diggers will be on our must-visit list for any return to P.EI.

We went to Kings Playhouse to watch the four tellers. I had the Chef special pasta. It was seafood lobster pasta. To die for! Now if your not a big person to appreciate local food, fresh food and support local the cost my knock you off your chair. But I appreciate hard working local restaurants that no one can copy. This place is in such a peaceful spot of the Island. I have been going there every time we have visited PEI. I will for sure be back in 2 years!

Didn't have a reservation for inside, but took our chances and luckily snagged a table on the patio right at dinner. Had the steamers, which were fresh, but on the small side. The crab cakes were delicious - nice and crispy on the outside and soft crab on the inside. My companion had the caesar salad (good but nothing special) and the fish and chips (quite good - fresh fish, great taste). If you want to have dinner, would suggest reservations.

Arrived mud afternoon for a snack and ended up ordering the clams and we also had the seafood chowder.Very clean, customer service is top notch. Everyone who walks in is greeted right away and makes you feel like home.The food was delicious and not over priced and it was all very hot. You have the option to eat inside or on the massive deck when it's nice out.Highly recommended when visiting Georgetown.

I walked in at 7:45 pmI was the only person waiting. Restaurant was half full. She wouldn't seat me for 15 minutes because the kitchen was trying to catch up. She wouldn't let me have a drink and wait either. So I just left to go eat somewhere else. Not very impressed.

There were 5 of us for dinner. We all got something different off the menu and everyone loved what they had. It was a nice location. We had a table on the deck and the view was great. It is not inexpensive, but it is worth it.

The food was good and nice view of the water. For dinner only, if u are being seated outside, make sure u will be able to finish your meal before sunset. The mosquito breeding program has been quite successful on PEI

What an awesome seafood meal our family enjoyed at this quaint, ocean-front restaurant. The service was awesome, food was warm, fresh and tasty and location perfect.

The view on the patio is outstanding! And the service is great as well. The food was also good. I had a lobster roll which was well prepared and tasty.
