I arrived in town almost 9pm, only accommodation left was a single basic room at the Clare Hotel. There were no other occupants in the basic rooms so I had the bathroom facilities to myself. I only needed a bed for the night and a shower in the morning before hitting the road again. Perfect, great for my budget at $40 per night. Just needed to be aware of how long the hot water takes to come through being heated by gas haha! Once it came through though it was great! Nice quick refreshing much needed stop over on a long road trip. Friendly customer service!
Popped in for lunch having seen the billboard out front. Originally was going to order the fish and chips until I found out the fish was Basa (Mekong Catfish). However, on to plan B and ordered the roast pork. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Pork and veggies were perfectly cooked. Yummy rich gravy. all in all, definitely recommend the roast. The service was friendly and cheerful. Just suggest they dump the catfish.
Great food tonight with the kids. Ordered the shanks but it was the last serve so could only have one. In some places one wouldn't be enough but here it was plenty. Son had crab linguine and daughter crumbed cutlets. Both really happy with their meals.Pub was warm and relaxing. Great night out.
$10 meal plus salad bar - lovely friendly staff - had an old fashion ham steak and pineapple which I haven't had for ???? The salad bar was fresh and so many choices - the bistro was nicely furnished and a good family atmosphere - would recommend - value for money.

Great Pub Meal and no disrespect meant. The meals we had tonight were great and the Salad Bar was well presented with some great refreshing tastes. (Not hidden behind dressings) All staff were very helpful and chatty. I would recommend.
Needed a bed for the night. Whilst the beds were clean and comfy could do with an update. Nothing to hang anything on in The family room we shared, one hook behind the bathroom door! No bedside lights.
Good specials on the menu, great salad bar. Young girl working the dining area, didn't miss a thing and was also doing the dishes! Claudia was her name I think.
Great list of specials for $10.95 are good value. You can easily find something for any taste, but the rest of the menu is interesting too.

Welcoming and friendly pub in the middle of the main street of Clare. Great Parma and atmosphere with friendly staff.
