They recently renovated the place and not its called C9 with a black and white theme. They have increased their prices! I usually get the molten lava cake which comes with gelato and fresh strawberries at $8 and now they raised the price up to $13. Ice creams also use to be $3 a scoop which was fantastic and now they are $4.80 scoop! After having dinner in Newtown it was great to go down the road and go to Cloud Nine for some reasonably priced dessert! That is why I went to Cloud Nine instead of the rest of the dessert stops ie Messina! But for the same price I would rather go to Messina.
$3 for one scoop!! There were lots of fun flavours on display but I chose the weekly special of 'mandarin with dried strawberries'. It does actually taste like mandarin (like .. you can tell it's mandarin and not orange) but also it was veeery sweet. I really appreciate how the staff member made sure there were a few strawberries in the cup! And I would like to come back to try more flavours. If your a chocolate fiend like myself then I suggest a visit to Cloud 9. I chose Nutella ice cream drizzled in milk chocolate that went hard like ice magic, sandwiched between a triple chocolate brown drizzled in more milk and dark chocolate. This was heavenly indulgent and only $8!!!! Everything is so well priced there. They have a good range of gelato flavours and the staff are friendly.

I tried their salted caramel and pistachio flavours. The pistachio is nutty, creamy and milky whereas the salted caramel is slightly bitter. If you prefer creamy gelato, C9 might be your cup of tea.

absolutely love this place!The desserts are soou tasty and hot chocolate is serious at point.Nice little place to get some sweet tasty.Service is always good and located on king street so is easy to reach.Would definitely recommend this place for family and friends.
