Cloves Sri Lankan Restaurant

Cloves has a reasonably small menu, but the variety was good and everything we had was mouth watering. One of the best curry/sub continent(?) meals I have had in a long while, so much more enjoyable than the standard Indian restaurant fare that you get just about everywhere.Somewhat strangely there are handmade chocolates, Tiramisu, and Black Forest gateau for dessert, but these were also very good (ask them the back story for this).This is a small family run place and while the decor is nothing special it's new and clean, and totally made up for by the friendly, attentive and informative service and the fantastic food.We''re going back ASAP.

We were group of more than 80 people including kids, all of us asians (SL/IND/PAK) was having a cricket tour in brisbane All were fed up of having continental type food and craving for aisn flavorOur tour coordinator Mr.Harsh came up with idea to visit this restaurant for change I should appreciate the family who is running the place the way they treated us was amazing Wonderfully spreaded buffet with full of sri lankan food with great taste.Kids and adults enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at the most.BEST PLACE TO HAVE SRI LANKAN AUTHENTIC FOODTHANK YOU VERY MUCHFor sure place to visit many times

This little restaurant is great and the owner is really friendly but I think you need to order a few dishes containing both meat and vegetables between a group and share to really sample the flavours. A kotu roti (Sri Lanken shredded roti bread stir fried with meat and vegetables) isn't on the menu and isn't always available but if you ask it quite often is and it's a great alternative to naan bread and is super tasty. Perhaps if we all ask for it will be added permanently to the menu :-)

On a night when many restaurants were closed we stumbled upon this little restaurant. We are so glad we did. The owner was very friendly and shared his passion for the food by explaining the menu well. We chose 3 different curries, beef, prawn & chicken and thoroughly enjoyed all 3. This might not be the place for a romantic evening but for good quality tasty food in a friendly environment it's great. We look forward to going again Reserva una mesa ahora

This little tucked away restaurant in Cleveland may be simple in décor but the food is superb. Sampling the whole range of curries over several visit has not disappointed. These are genuine Sri Lankan fare. The owner is very friendly and his wife does the cooking in traditional style. If you are a curry fan this is the place to visit.And the bonus aspect is that it is excellent value for money. Also BYO.

We came here for our first visit on Valentine's Day. Cloves had a set menu for the evening. The food was very tasty and spicy. I'm very interested in trying the menu.Appears to be run by a family with the father as front of house. Very polite and friendly service. Bring cash as there is no EFT facility. It's worth the stop at an ATM.

Small menu but what they do they do well. The curries looked like small servings but were filling enough when rice was added and very tasty. Unfortunately no desserts available on the night we were there. BYO available. Cost for 2 curries, rice and corkage was $38 Will go again.

We ordered two curries and a vegetable dish. All of them were great flavour. Very traditional flavours. Service was fast and efficient. We like BYO restaurants so Cloves ticks all the boxes for us. Reserva una mesa ahora

We have eaten here several times now and have always gone away saying 'that was a great meal'. Basic home style cooking and attentive service consistently.

Wonderful authentic family run Sri Lankan BYO restaurant. Sometimes worth booking as it can be very busy. Ask for their chutneys as they are sooo good.
