This has changed from a self service restaurant with bar service to a full restaurant service. It was never gourmet but was a lovely place to have a drink and grab a quick east lunch. You can no longer pop in for a drink, instead queuing outside on the slope until a table is available and only if you’re going to eat. The queuing system is chaotic with about 4 people asking how many were in our party and suggesting wildly different lengths of wait time for a table. Once you get there the menu is shorter, you just pay more for someone to serve worse food. I should have realised that this would be a poor restaurant when my wife and I were putting our skis on a rack and some bloke took our skis off us and said he’d look after them. I realise that I’m somewhat of a grumpy old man and don’t like hotel staff asking me to take my wheely luggage, but this took the biscuit. The bloke was after a tip and started to brush the snow off our skis. He seemed indignant when I asked him what’s the point of that when I’m going back out into the snow soon. We were meeting friends at the restaurant so we thought we'd better go in, even though there was a rope across the entrance (to the outside tables) manned by a young woman, which was warning sign number two....
The restaurant is nicely located near telecabine mont Arbois. It offers self service food and also tea/coffee pretty expensive, considering the food is just frites and sausages/nuggets or pasta . well they serve sushi also the exotic fruits as dessert quite tempting but looking at the price .. I was like err.. what??! .. anyway, if you are waiting other family/friend members while zipping coffee or tea, and looking at the view, it's ok to be there. as the place is quite big
We generally try to avoid this restaurant where the service is the contrary to that probed by Baroness de Rothschild. While waiting for some friends at the bottom of the slopes we have in and tried again. Unfortunately the service is still as slow and unwelcoming, the prices are still as expensive and the only thing speaking for this place is the prime location and sunny terrace. At 6 euros for a ridiculous hot chocolate it’s a real shame for beautiful situation.

I agree with most of the negative reviews, too cold inside to enjoy, service even colder, as is the decor. Music not unduly loud on my visit, and the food was quite good though, and yes, it took us 15 minutes to get the servers attention for a coffee, well I failed actually and had to go to the bar to order coffee, and was refused and told to sit down, my server will be coming to the table.
During a skiing day, well after the lunch rush, we went inside to warm up and have a drink. After 20 minutes, with clear signs we wanted a drinks menu (in French and English), only indications that it was coming. We were able to use their wifi (reasonable access and speed), toilette, dry out and warm up. After 30 minutes we gave up and went elsewhere. Proceed at your own risk (or annoyance)
Very expensive for a self service, compared to la Folie Douce, for example. And food was average. We paid 9€ for a fruit salad that was not edible as the liquid they used to conserve the fruits was too strong and had a bad taste.
Very nice place well located just at the bottom of the slopes and easy to access. Special mention to the friendly ski rental company located just below the cabins for his advice and professionalism.

This was our least favourite place during our ski trip. The service was slow, the food expensive and very average. There are better restaurants in the area.
