The child working the front counter could barely contain her negativity. Upon walking in, she was curt and when I asked about a takeout menu, she simply pointed at the wall. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for dinner, and my experience was outstanding. The meal was excellent, with a rating of 5 out of 5 for the food. Everything was delicious and prepared to perfection. The service was equally impressive, earning another perfect score of 5; the staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we felt welcome throughout our meal. Staying at the Fairfield Inn , Walpole , great place to stay but no bar . A short walk out of the hotel and next door is Clyde’s Grill and Bar . Cosy bar , restaurant area and a wooden horse , what more could you want ! . Wide range of craft ales and lagers , spirits galore including Hendricks Gin which impressed the missus . Food was superb , we had some Spring Onion Strings and a Pizza , all reasonably priced . Finally a word about the staff , very friendly and helpful , as were the customers. We will return ! PS Their shepherds pie is made with beef !! Tut tut shepherds herd sheep !
Went in for lunch while on business. We don’t have much time and they were extremely accommodating knowing that we had a short period of time. They gave me the wrong sandwich but bent over backwards to ensure I was happy. I just wish we had got to go back to eat here again. Food was excellent, try the fried chicken sandwich or pulled pork!
