Really disappointing second visit to this spot. Last year, we had an outstanding meal there. This years, it was as dismal as last year's was fantastic. My mint julep was basically just Buffalo Trace over ice in a metal cup. Hardly any sugar syrup and a single scraggly mint leaf this size of my thumbnail on top of a column of ice. If I wanted bourbon on the rocks, I would have asked for that. The real disaster was the burnt ends. Last year, I got a delectable mound of bite-sized pieces of burnt ends that was utterly delicious. Ambiance, decor, service and menu choices were great. Noise level is very high, it was difficult to have a conversation. The Caesar salad was great but cold plates would have been nice. The Smoked Tomato soup was very bland. Duck fat burger was delicious and so was the Risotto. The smoked trout dip was tasty but the portion was very small. Th jerk Chicken was delicious and moist but we didn’t taste the jerk spice, just the smoke. Great Bourbon selection and nice patio even though it overlooks the parking lot.

Our server was nice and polite but waiting for food for over an hour is just too long. Drinks are always delicious here. Charcuterie board was excellent. The burnt ends were disappointing....just mainly pieces of fat. I ordered smoky tomato soup....way too smoky and overly seasoned. Salad was ok but grilled chicken added was chewy and not good. Ambience is very nice but it's very loud and hard to have a conversation. Not sure we will go back again.

1- We specifically noted in our reservation that we were celebrating our marriage anniversary. No one in the restaurant mentioned or even asked us what was the occasion. 2- The restaurant was noisy and we waited an hour to have our food served. The host even mentioned and offered a glass of wine to my husband to calm the situation. 3- The food was not near good. It lacked flavors- 4- we would not return to this restaurant. This place is such a hidden gem in St. Louis and I feel like more people need to discover it. The food is excellent, the drinks are excellent and the service is excellent! What more could you want? Also the live music tonight was a really nice touch. Well done cobalt

We went for my birthday dinner and our server was absolutely phenomenal and made great recommendations. The food was perfection! I loved the Shrimp Capanelle and the Spring Risotto! We are looking forward to trying each seasonal menu!

We love Cobalt Smoke and Sea. The food is consistently good, and the Impossible Margarita is unbelievable. Martell is literally one of the best he and the rest of the team make sure you have a wonderful meal.
