The reviewer's experience at Cobalt was not great due to poor service from their server, Sheri. Despite not introducing herself, Sheri took a long time to acknowledge the customers and when she did, she focused on her politicized opinions regarding Covid and masks. She did not offer any assistance with the menu and when asked about specials, she gave a curt response. The corn bread appetizer was dry but had good flavor. The crab cake sliders and autumn harvest salad were tasty, but the strip steak lacked flavor and seemed like it had been sitting around before being served. I have dined here in the past and recalled the food and atmosphere being very good. However, while the atmosphere was still good, the menu had changed… and not for the better. We ordered cornbread to start thought it was something different to try, but we could barely choke it down. It was so dry. I found the food selection a bit odd. I ordered the mahi mahi, which I normally love… but it was paired with a sloppy wet rice and fried okra truly just weird. I was not a fan. My date ordered the cowboy ribeye and said it was “ok”. On a positive note, the ambiance is cute and drink selection is wonderful!
Nice decor and very solid, traditional American menu gives it a ton of potential. We were there on Friday night and it wasn't all that crowded, but a lot went wrong. Our salad Soup came before the apps (which took a considerable amount of time), side didn't come with entree. Dessert was not good. Fish was quite good and it's hard to find good seafood in STL definitely a big plus. Excellent non alcoholic drink menu is always appreciated. Server had a wonderful attitude, a lot just went wrong. Hopefully it was just an off night b c I bet many feel it is a neighborhood gem!
We were given two menus that were empty, so I had to go up and get two new menus myself. Unfortunately, there were only two waitresses working that night and they seemed overwhelmed. Our waitress was polite, but she had a lot of other customers to attend to, so the customer service was lacking. The fish I ordered was delicious, but my husband's pork was a bit dry. The decor of the restaurant is really beautiful.

The service was top notch! Crab cake and shrimp appetizers were perfect as was the Steak and Sea Bass! The Autumn Stew was actually soup and was full of fat but seasoned perfectly! The tomato soup could have been delicious if not for the excess salt! Beautiful evening to sit outside and enjoy the music and a delightful meal with a bottle of wine!
Went here on a Tuesday. Service was outstanding especially since there was one server for the night. She did a great job. Drinks were covered by Happy Hour as was our appetizer. Crab cakes were excellent as were our entrees. We plan on returning.
Our favorite in St. Louis hands down!! Been many times and never, ever disappointed. Great atmosphere. Great service. Awesome bourbon selection and drinks. Amazing foods!! You rock it Bernadette!!
Cobalt never disappoints. The new fall cocktail menu is fantastic and I heard a rumor they may be adding some more old world selections to the wine menu soon!

Food was good, but it took a while to get food, and they weren’t that crowded. Service was good, but slow, maybe a kitchen issue.
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The waitress was outstanding, and the food was excellent.
