My wife ordered a salad and we told the waitress that she had an allergy to spinach- she assured us that there wasn't any in the salad so my wife started to eat. My wife ate a few mouthfuls but soon realised that there was spinach in the salad after all. We told the waitress about this and she said she was sorry and offered a dessert or a drink as some sort of apology. As the allergy causes a vigorous gut reaction this hardly seemed helpful or appropriate as we were eating before going to the theatre. We chose this restaurant for a pre-show meal as we were going to the Royal Albert Hall and wanted somewhere in walking distance and of a good standard. We were not disappointed. The food was lovely and the service attentive. It was about 10 minutes walk to the show and we had plenty of time to get there. We would recommend this restaurant and also return next time we are going to a show at the RYH.

Ordered 3 bottles of wine (including Champagne) at around 10 pm , at the end of our dinner and by 10.45 we were told they were closing and we needed to be out by 11 pm on a Saturday evening in central London ?!

Tasty simple food. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Perfect location as it's walking distance to Albert Hall.
