On a positive point. Drinks were fine. Negative points, all customers crammed into front of the establishment, with few free tables. Free tables were mostly covered in dirty cups and plates. Tables were placed on all seating at the back of premises, seemingly forcing customers to a much restricted area at front. On politely asking if we could use the large free area, we were bluntly told NO! Not only told no, but in a manner that clearly came across as don’t dare ask any more questions. All I would have expected under the circumstances would be a little dialogue to say “no sorry, that area is closed because…. “. Our experience was greatly worsened by a rude employee, who appeared to be the manager. They were not in uniform, so perhaps not even on shift, enjoying their own coffee sat at a table whilst yelling at customers, making them feel uncomfortable and unwelcome before heading behind the counter to converse with other employees. As a group of 5, with tables only set up for at most 4 people, we asked to move a chair from a different table and were met by a glare from said employee whilst others were happy to accommodate. The place gets busy, not sure how long that will last when people realise that the cafe NEVER gets cleaned. The manager is clearly super lazy and must do a swift clean only when they know the area manager is coming down. This branch is the weak link in the chain. Coffee had to be thrown away. No consideration for allergens, cake boards and tongs all mixed up. If you go in early they are never set up, water jugs out from days before and a grumpy greeting. If they can't be ready to open on time, they should open later. If cleaning paperwork is actually done for this business it is definitely faked. I visited the cafe on a normal day and found the place to be quiet. I waited for 6 minutes just to place my order at the counter. I requested a large Spiced Chai but was given a regular size. I complained and it was replaced with a large cup topped up with froth. However, the taste was unpleasant, like spoiled milk with no spices. I hope that my next visit will be better, but if not, I will ask for a refund and leave a negative review. I was disappointed with the service and the drink, and it was not worth the wait.

Two employees were seated while a lady handled coffee, food, and other tasks. It was a typical Sunday. Tables were cluttered with cups and plates, with the assumption that the young lady would handle it. There was a long queue and wait time. It seems like on Sundays, the other staff members handle paperwork and laptop tasks, which require two staff members. Please bring back the cheerful guy in the hat.
I stood alone at the counter waiting to be served for over 5 minutes while the young man behind the counter tidies up cups and completely ignored me. Did not say, I;ll be with you in a minute, but just let me stand there until I had enough and left the place.
Lovely place it has the look of a franchised place but it was comfortable in the comfortable sofas. Music was playing at the right volume so we could here our selves speak and the coffee and cake were excellent.
The hot drinks at this coffee house are excellent, and the selection of cakes is delicious. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and the staff are pleasant and friendly. I would definitely visit again.

Really lovely coffee. Rather nice decor . Staff were rather sullen and unwelcoming though. I know it was a cold rainy day, but come on!
