We enjoy meeting up with friends at this restaurant every day for the great coffee and atmosphere. Lately, there seems to be a problem with staff shortages. Yesterday, on a Saturday, there were only two new staff members, Liv and Carlos, working. They did their best despite being short-staffed, but there were long queues, tables needed clearing, and the dishwasher needed to be loaded. Today, on Sunday, Brett was working alone. He remained calm and cheerful, but it was impossible for him to handle everything alone, including answering the phone while trying to get help. The coffee and cakes at this restaurant are top-notch, but unfortunately, the staff's attitude leaves much to be desired. We felt as though we were bothering the lady who was on her phone, as she had a sour expression and clearly didn't want to leave her chair to make our coffee. Additionally, our order was mixed up and instead of taking responsibility, the staff argued with us. They were also unwilling to provide extra milk. Overall, the behavior of the staff was unacceptable. We recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs, as we encountered some of the most hostile staff in the region.
Not impressed. Went in for a snack or light meal but changed our minds and just had coffee the place seemed dirty and the outside tables (especially) had not been cleaned and there were bits all over the floor inside and out. Had to drink from cardboard cups, even though china mugs and cups were in evidence. This might explain why it was relatively empty in an otherwise busy square at a busy time. Wouldn't go there again.
I was shocked by the unprofessional behavior of the staff at this restaurant. They were loudly chatting and laughing at the counter, completely ignoring their duties. The supposed duty manager was especially loud, making it an unpleasant experience. Despite the lack of customers, tables remained dirty and unattended to. It was a real eye-opener to see how unaware they were of their surroundings.

We were greeted by signs that said they were short staffed. Ok, we were in no hurry. The staff of just one, Lucy, was amazing! She was cheerful, helpful and expert at her job. We enjoyed fresh tasty toasties, delicious coffees and a sweet treat. Best Mocha I’ve ever had and I’m hard to please! So congratulations Coffee#1 on a super cafe and wonderful staff!
Dishwasher out of service so paper cups only today. Wish we had seen the sgn on the door before ordering as would have gone elsewhere. What happened to the days of a sink, washing up liquid, cloth and tea towels. Maybe its because it can't be done with a mobile phone. Will not bother to use this place again
Nice coffee and cakes, very fresh. Pity somebody was occupying a table for 4 people, using a laptop, and blocking 2 exits in the process, especially as tables were needed for other customers.
How difficult is it to heat up a panini? Kept waiting staff too busy talking to realise panini's burnt. Did some more but this time cold in the middle!! Drinks were ok. Won't go there again!

Very busy but very good service and excellent prices. Would recommend visiting if you’re in the area. This is a good place to meet people.
