I stopped by for a meal today around 1:30pm. The menu was on the smaller side, which was okay, but there were very few items left. We were informed that the grill had just been cleaned, so anything requiring grilling was unavailable. We tried to order a panini but were informed that they were out, so we settled for a toastie instead. We also ordered quiche with new potatoes, but they were also out of new potatoes and replaced them with crisps. The restaurant is supposed to be open until 3pm, so it wasn't as if we arrived right before closing time, but we felt like they were already closing up for the day. Popped in to get warmed through as we’d just missed the metro .Lovely friendly atmosphere and the food and service was excellent.Good value for money too !!... We try and call in on a regular basis now ‘support the local businesses !!. Will at some point go for an afternoon tea but I’m only off on a Saturday and Sunday and the coffee shop isn’t always open on a Sunday .
Absolutely brilliant little place! Staff so friendly and generous particularly to children. Prices very reasonable and whenever I've eaten here the food has been very good. Good range of hot and cold drinks as well. Staff always very accommodating and go above and beyond with their service. Will definitely be back!
Went today for afternoon tea as won on a charity raffle. Beautiful spread displayed really well with generous helpings of cakes and a selection of sandwiches. Helpful friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere..... perfect!! .... thank you for a great afternoon..... will be back soon

Coffee Central offers excellent coffee with a friendly service. They also serve delicious bacon sandwiches. If you're not in a hurry to catch a train, you can enjoy your meal in the seating area on the platform. Overall, a fantastic small business.
I really enjoyed my visit to this charming café located on the platform at Whitley Bay Metro Station. The staff were very friendly, the décor was fantastic, and they had some tasty vegan options available. I absolutely loved it.
They do a lovely take away mocha at the hatch. They give a discount for bringing your own cup and a handful of dog treats for furry companions. The scones and cakes are great as well.
Coffee ok Price acceptable Staff very busy but service good. Didn’t try the scones as they looked a bit sad. Ideal location on the Whitley Bay metro station.

Love getting breakfast here on my way to the metro! Bacon sandwiches and coffee are a real treat. Great venue, keep up the good work.
Good prices lovely tea and coffee excellent staff and dog friendly. Seating outside also in the station.
