We went here shortly after arriving in this university town about 45 minutes outside of the large Frankfurt. Our local friends stringy suggested trying the delectable concoctions ,add out of coffee, and other components , usually chocolate . I tried a cafe latte with, I kid you not, chocolate cookie dough. The tastes I was expecting was to be overbearingly sweet and obnoxious but instead it was tasty as hell, and balanced---quite delicate. The Germans know their chocolate, and their Christmas.I smiled after tasting the the chocolatey goodness and smiled even wider when I saw the toy train going around the small cafe by the Windows. Ich war diese Woche mit einer Freundin im Coffee-One und war von der Auswahl an Kaffee Variationen überrascht. Ich bestellte mir einen großen Latte Macchiato (laktosefrei; 0,4l; 3,50€) und meine Begleitung einen Chai Latte.Die Bedienung nahm die Bestellung nicht nur auf, sondern wiederholte diese nochmal, wohl wegen der laktosenfreien Variante. Man nimmt dies dort wohl sehr ernst :-)Wir selbst saßen im Innenraum, da der überdachte Innenhof voll war. Im Innenraum - in Nähe der Theke - muss man sich darauf einstellen, dass es zeitweise laut werden kann, wenn die Kaffeemühlen arbeiten. Meine Begleitung, die hier öfters ist, erwähnte, dass es durchaus normal ist, wenn Kleinkinder durch den Laden...
Ich liebe liebe liebe dieses Café! Das ist mein Lieblingscafé in Gießen! Nach dem Umbau, der ja schon vor geraumer Zeit vollzogen wurde, gefällt es mir noch viel besser! Sehr netter Service! Die Atmosphäre ist toll! Man kann gemütlich mit Freunden rumsitzen, einen sehr leckeren Café trinken und eine kleine Auszeit haben! Absolut empfehlenswert! Und wenn man sonntags mal brunchen möchte, ist Coffee One ebenfalls empfehlenswert!
The service is the hammer, the location right at the Oswaldsgarten ideal, with the small backyard and the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the shop you are absolutely in a quiet oasis despite absolutely central location. The coffee selection is mega and tasty, the waffles are great and the toasts too. You can drink super cocktails there, breakfast or take one of the board games there. Go there regularly and recommend it.

...aber nur gut. Cappuccino auch durchschnitt. Ich habe schon bessere getrunken. Lokal schön und warm eingerichtet. Kuchen & Rest alles durchschnittlich. Preiese normal wie in Deutschland, obwohl Portion Cappuccino zum Mitnehmen winzig. Service nett und schnell. Wiederkommen/Empfehlungsfaktor (0-100%): 30%. Es gibt bessere Lokale in Gießen wo man guten Espresso trinken kann.
Had the opportunity to have coffee here. Was great. Super service with great coffee with cookies. Was great for a break and gave us the boast we needed. It is great to take the time to enjoy a cup of coffee in between.
