So I am a little torn on this place .The Food is exceptional and I would consider it to be one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the area! However there are some things that definitely need to improve when it comes to customer service....I have visited this establishment three separate occasions.. Dine in(1 Carry outs(2 .I always order the Com Tam Combo with the Goi Cuon and it never disappoints. The grilled pork chop is always so juicy and tender that combines well with the broken rice MY BIGGEST CONCERN The service is very lack luster to say the least, ... the owner seems very standoffish, this is always the case and I now only order online. If things get any worse I will sacrifice g...

Well, well, well, looks like we 've got a bit of a pork predicament on our hands. On one hand, you 've got your heart screaming No more fatty pork, please! because of that pesky LDL situation. But on the other hand, your Vietnamese side is whispering sweet nothings about the smokiness and richness of that juicy pork. And let me tell you, that meat is smokier than a chimney on a cold winter 's night. It 's like a guilty pleasure that you can 't help but indulge in, even though you know it 's probably not the best thing for you. But hey, life is short, right? Might as well enjoy some smoky, fatty goodness while we can. Now, let 's talk about the real heroes of this place the fried tofu and the T...

I used to go to this Com Tam place place in Milpitas but closed down. Close to Main Street by a Quality Tine Up. Message me and let me know where the owners went so I can hunt them down. So I started coming here since my go to didn't warn me about their closure. Back to the review:I must admit Com Tam Thanh is one of my favorite restaurants in Fremont. I am a fan of the rice plates for sure from Chicken or Grilled pork are my top dishes. I don't get the pho or any of their soups except when I'm sick and need the pho broth to help me heal. I also love the shrimp cake, shredded dried pork skin, steamed egg meatloaf, picked carrots/jicama and more! Add some fish sauce and call it a day!

3.5 is the exact stars I would give. Honestly, this place is above average, but not the best and could have been better. The fish sauce that came with cơm tấm was good, but their grilled meat was overcooked and dry, and marinated a little too sweet. Their bì (pork skin) definitely lacked flavor. My sister ordered bún thịt nướng (vermicelli and grilled meat) and the dish came out straight up cold. We had to ask them to reheat her food. This place is very popular though, but underwhelming at best for us and nothing special Parking depends, we didn’t have any issue finding a spot. We came here with very high expectations, but I guess now we know. Reserva una mesa ahora

This place is known for their broken rice plates. I've never had broken rice before this, but essentially they are broken rice grains from the milling process, so the rice grains used is a lot smaller and shorter. I had the special broken rice plate, which came with shredded pork and grilled pork. It was pretty good, but I think recently they raised the prices so it's basically around $20, which I think is quite pricey for a rice plate. It does satisfy my Viet food cravings when I'm in the Fremont/Newark area.

For a restaurant that is open until midnight, I would say this is a good option when you're craving Vietnamese food. The price of the food might be a bit steep by a couple of more dollars per dish. However, it's a minimal price to pay for late night eats. I'd come back and support this business. Solid three star restaurant, for sure.

Worst service and the food is not worth the prices. The food was tasty but not the best. Didn’t get drinks til the middle of the meal, and they never came back to make sure we were ok or refill our drinks.Food: 4/5

Best pho in town. Family owned and small local business that has been around for many years. The flavor is all in the broth and let me tell you they have mastered it. Reserva una mesa ahora
