Comptoir Principal

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping along and around Boulevard De Grenelle near the magnificent Eiffel Tower when we decided to drop into Comptoir Principal and what a great time we had. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here ,the interior is so traditional ,a great looking marble topped serving bar catches the eye ,pubby decor and furnishings and lots of seating options spread throughout this cafe bar ,it's just a great place to chill out in. We were here on a Saturday morning ,we stood at the serving bar were we ordered an expresso coffee each ,service was quick and coffee was superb ,we planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. We happened upon this place after alighting the Metro at Bir-Hakeim en-route to Champ de Mars and were pleased with the menu offering. Do not however expect the likes of croques monsieurs (or madames) or jambon beurres. Unfortunately there were a few items unavailable though there was still a decent choice and we opted for a range of small plates which were well received by all. The space is not too big and even with a few other tables, and a children's party in another part of the restaurant, it still felt quite relaxed. American burguer, falafel with yogut sauce, pasta carbonatta, salads, french cuisine... many options with excellent quality. My kids enjoyed the pasta and the sausage.

Every staff member was super friendly and kind! The food was very delicious, the steak and tiramisu were great, I will come back when I visit Paris again! :

I loved every bite! The staff was brilliant and so kind. Everything was perfection. The steak and frites was the best meal I had my entire holiday.
