Confeitaria Colombo

We could call this a historical place I guess opened in 1894. There was a huge queue to get a table. They do capture/sell photograph souvenirs (I was surprised though The ambience is great. Gives a royal historical vibe. With huge mirrors all around, this place looks bigger that it is. Cappuccino was great. Not really sure if these are the original recipes but most of the drinks had whipped cream in them. Red velvet cake was decent.

Absolutely loved the food and service. What ruined the entire experience was the abnormally rude staff as you leave, your forced to take a photo which they try and sell you on exit. The quality of the photo is terrible and they continuously drop the price when you keep saying no. The rude girl then finishes the experience with an eye roll. As you exit you are hassled for money by people waiting outside.

The place is unbelievable. It’s like stepping into a time capsule back to Brazil at the Belle Epoque era. If the place is stunning, the food is astounding. You will find everything from savory to sweet to suit your palate. It’s a shame it’s located in downtown Rio de Janeiro and the area has seen better times. Be careful when getting out from the restaurant to avoid the beggars and muggers.

Amazing place! It is little bit expensive but worth every pany. Ambient is breathtaking, tou feel as you move to time portal and go back in 19 centuries. It is a MUST VISIT. Coffe is good but but sweeter then how we make in Europe. It is always crowded, so there is always queue at entrance. We waited 15min

Truly one the most beautiful, unique and antique places in the world to enjoy woderful pastries, delicious coffee and beverage options and resaurant food. Circa 1918 elegance to be enjoyed over 100 years later. Confeitaria was my son's wedding venue and they got it all right.
