Confiserie Bachmann Cafe

Since I grew up in the area and very much enjoy their coffee as well as many of their baked goods, it is without fail that we visit this cafe at least two or three times whenever we come to Switzerland. This particular café is located on the ground floor of the busy Emmen Center, with inside as well as "interior curb-side seating", all under cover and the Center provides ample free parking. Thus I did my annual "pilgrimage" again a short while ago. Their café crème is still perfect and so are their Nussstengel, a pastry dough "stick" with a glorious hazelnut filling - definitely one of my highlights for baked goods in Switzerland - you can get the Nussstengel aka Nussgipfel in many places in Central Switzerland but for me, Bachmann provides the very best!

We arrived about 15 minutes before closing. We ordered several panini sandwiches to go. While my husband was paying for that in the back area, my son and I went to get the treats. They have amazing truffles and macaroons! We were trying to pay with our credit card in the front area and having trouble getting it to work. The staff was trying to help and it wasn't working. All of a sudden the guy helping us said, it is done you can go and here is your receipt. The manager had paid for our treats! This was so very nice and I was so pleasantly surprised by this gesture. We had just arrived into town and only had Euros or a credit card. Needless to say this wasn't our last visit to Bachmann! Always a friendly staff and yummy treats!

Posizione centrale, l'ingresso del bar è posizionato sul retro rispetto a quello del negozio anche se collegati. Non ci sono molti posti a sedere e l'ambiente è molto carino. Tutto di buona qualità ed in stile tedesco. Due notizie:- se volete un caffè italiano, ricordate di chiedere un "espresso" o " ristretto", altrimenti ve ne portano tantissimo in tazza grande. - bagno a pagamento (1 chf).

Sehr gute Qualität was das Essen und die Backwaren betrifft. Daher auch die Preisklasse. Genug und freundliches Personal. Dürfte etwas mehr Tische haben.

Feine Salate, warme Menüs und tolle Backwaren. Das Personal ist jedoch unmotiviert und schnippisch. Ist in jeder Bachmann Filiale das gleiche Problem.
