The food at the restaurant was decent, but the prices were very high for the portion sizes. The biggest issue was the attitude of the manager on duty that Saturday evening. Initially friendly and welcoming, her demeanor quickly turned condescending when we inquired about the delay in receiving our pizzas. We waited almost 50 minutes at our table with only bread, olive oil, and sporadic single tapas dishes arriving every 15 minutes for our group of six. The manager suggested it was our fault for not informing the kitchen that we were not sharing dishes, even though we were. Having had two positive experiences here, it was a tad disappointing to find the meal was variable in quality and value for money on this last occasion .I ordered the 'special ' bao buns ,expecting a lovely homemade generous portion only to be presented with two commercially available ? Itsu buns with a small garnish costing a small fortune, so a very hefty profit involved .The garlic mushrooms were incredibly salty and oily -unpleasant . When you ask a table how they are finding the meal ,you should be trained sufficiently to be able to respond appropriately to criticism -this was not the case here .We were given the equivalent of a shrug of the shoulder and no attempt was made to apologise...

I’d heard very mixed reviews about this place, mostly due to the management but as it’s my local I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. What a mistake that was. I visited Connollys on Friday and Saturday, On the first occasion I was sat down outside having a quiet drink before meeting with friends. was staying in a hotel nearby . walked past and saw the place was busy . spoke to the owner who managed to squeeze us in on a very busy night . had a couple of drinks while they sorted us a table out . all the staff were very polite and helpful with the menu . the food and service was top notch . had a good vibe and buzz about the place . we had a lovely evening and will go back when were in the area gain . thank you .

We were staying down the road and looking for somewhere to have a nice evening meal. We dropped in on the Friday evening to see about booking a table and we’re given such a warm welcome we were already excited to eat here. We weren’t disappointed. We ate on the Saturday night, had a lovely greeting, beautiful surroundings, fabulous wine and absolutely delicious fresh food. A first class evening out. Thank you
I have to say even though I’m blessed that i only I live literally doors away from this amazing Tapas bar I feel guilty that I do not frequent it enough. I did however this evening and had the most delicious food and such Impeccable service. I felt like I was in the Mediterranean this evening I cannot recommend this place enough for its ambience and beautiful food! A*
Had a great experience from delicious tapas especially the succulent ribs and the haddock fried fillets, the really reasonable priced wine and the attentive waitress. Lovely atmosphere topped off with the cook taking time after a busy evening asking if we had enjoyed ourselves. Had a lovely night and will definitely visit again.
My husband and I made a reservation at Connolly's tonight since we just moved to Stratford. This has quickly become one of our top dining spots! The food was fantastic and the staff were delightful. We will definitely be recommending this place to our guests!

We come here quite a lot with many different Friends who have never been disappointed, it is a very Friendly place with excellent food and lovely service. The cost is reasonable and there is a nice selection of beverages. Thoroughly recommend it.
