We visited late afternoon. Some of the carvery had clearly been cooked and sitting for a long time, as you couldn't get a knife through the roast potatoes. There was no cabbage or sprouts, odd for November and the only beef was rare. I would have expected a choice. The food was served on really cold plates so went cold very quickly. Basic things done badly
We had a lovely meal. I am really fussy about my steak as I cook it for my family regularly. I really dancied a steak and asked for it to be cooked rare, fully expecting to be slightly disappointed. It came out cooked to perfection. And tbe quality of the steak was great no gristle. And the staff were fsntastic too!
We had the carvery, turkey was so dry I has to spit it out, roast potatoes were dry and very hard, pigs in blankets were rock solid. Ordered my son an 8 oz gammon steak and when it arrived it was so small I had to give him some of my gammon off my carvery. Much improvement needed.
Went for the Sunday carvery and us 4 adults enjoyed it very much apart from the roast potatoes which were sadly a bit hard and dry. The children's meals were generous potions and both grandsons cleared their plates. The furnishings let the place down torn seat covers for example. Reserva una mesa ahora
