Bought beans that were soooooo dry they were like chalk. I asked before buying whey they were so dry compared to other beans on the shelf. The worker claimed it was a process difference, but they are just as fresh. Went home, did pour over with perfect measurements to ensure perfection. The beans were chalk. No residue whatsoever in the burr grinder. Powder upon grinding. Still made. NO FLAVOR since pure dry so no natural essence. Called and complained, first lady just hung up. I absolutely adore this place! Tucked away in the charming village of Smithville, it instantly welcomes you with the delightful scent of freshly roasted coffee beans as soon as you walk through the door. They offer a wide variety of coffees, and you can choose to purchase whole beans or have them ground for drip brewing. In addition to coffee, Cook's has a great selection of seasonings, teas, and cooking utensils. Unfortunately, the coffee window is currently closed.
Always the best store in Smithville! I do most of my shopping there. My daughter loves the fresh coffee roaster, and I can't get enough of the kitchen gadgets. They have unique items that I can't find anywhere else, like a dumpling maker and grapefruit spoons. If you're into tea and jams, they have an outstanding selection. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the need for another register, as it can get a bit cramped in there.

You'll find every kitchen tool you could possibly need, along with aisles filled with sauces and marinades. The owner of this store is so ignorant. I don't want to get into specifics but I wouldn't give her one dime of my hard earned money. I never had an experience with someone in any of the stores in Smithville or anywhere else like I had with her and that's saying alot because I've been around for several decades. I will never go into that store again.
Counter staff was very short and charged us for something twice. We only had three items so I definitely feel it was intentional. Rung us up very fast and tried to put the receipt in the bag. Stealing from locals.
absolute 10/10, i come here with my family once in a while and it feels so cozy, and the aroma is so nice and calming!
Their staff is great and very helpful and they have a wide range of stuff.
