We went back to one of our favorites Cuban restaurants. Is being over six years since last visited because we were disappointed. Today we ordered the paella since it takes around 40 we ordered by phone to eat at the restaurant. When we got there we let our server know that we ordered already to eat there but for some reason they were confused, finally we got our paella. Presentation was great, taste very good but preparation it was a little dry for a paella since we had it before in many restaurants including this and have family that know how to cook this culinary dish, we know. Service was absolutely terrible. We were in a group of 8. An appetizer came cold in the middle. Salad came out hot and I mean HOT. I couldn't eat the tomatoes because she was scaling. What, with a hot salad would you think the rest of the food would be the same temperature, Nope, all lukewarm best. It was incredibly amazing, and the meal of a person was completely forgotten. They had also played a band, she went from table to table. Where we sat when the table asked for a song behind us, we couldn't go. We were basically trapped in our seats and couldn't get up to use the toilet room. It would be good if it was for 5 minutes or so, but we would be stuck for 15-20 minutes. The service was inc...
I've eaten here a few times to get my Papas con Carne fix, tender shredded beef with boiled potatoes, yellow (or white) rice, black beans and plantains. Overall the place is really good! There's a large patio with outdoor seating and and outdoor bar area (at night). They provide a buttered bread appetizer to hold you over while your food cooks, but I always get the plantain chip appetizer to share too yum! The food is always delicious and served in large portions to leave you filled and ready to walk around downtown Mt. Dora.
There are only one handful of vegan options, but they are all delicious and worth visiting. The mixed vegetables were perfected and the sauce brought everything together. The fried plantain was also great. You will give you a free basket of bread and butter, so if you are a completely vegan supplement, make sure you want to skip it. (Or order Cuban bread without butter.
Our server was really nice, ao thumb for a good customer service! The food is not so great, but we enjoyed the food after a long walk while exploring Mt. Dora downtown near places. The Cuban coffee is amazing!!! We liked it. The ambience is alao beautiful, although super busy! I pulled a star over the bathroom, too?
Arri In the restaurant on time for our reservation and they said they were not accepting reservations made by Open Table . The only thing they could offer was a table in 40 minutes. We went and went to the Olive Branch restaurant and had a good meal. Service. I wouldn't go to Copa, the restaurant is badly managed.
This ice cream is inconvenient in search of the street, but it is worth looking for. The food was excellent from fresh Cuban bread to the main dish. Shown is the lunch of roasted pork carvings with grilled onions, Moros and sweet plantains. The part was huge, good value and delicious.
