only a small inconspicuous corner building in an old part of the city of ottawa, illinois brings some of the best kitchen! my wife has the idea to check this place called corner 230 after a shopping in ottawa. we planned a 4 o'clock early dinner. in restaurant there was only one table. my fear increased because this would never be expected on Saturday afternoon in ottawa. we were greeted by one of their lady servers that showed us in another room next to the bar area. long story short. our service and eating were both fantastic. we have started the experience with wonderfully made caprese salat. absolutely perfect. even if the tomats in illinois this time of the year are usually less than id...

the restaurant was not overcrowded on Saturday. the service was first well occupied, then the server disappeared for a dae. the crawling dive was excessively cheesy and served with tacky bread and stabbed chips. the burger was well served and with undercooked wobble instead of sautete mushrooms. the pasta with cloves was tasty and the part was large; it was worth taking her home, eating later. the Irish special drinks were a good supplement to the menu, the prices are somewhat inflated for the quality of the food served.

Walked in and young blond “hostess” was clueless. Went into other side of restaurant to check for a table and then told us there was nothing. We asked to wait and she said feebly “an hour?” No offer to be put on a list or if we wanted to get a drink at the bar, etc. We left and as we walked around the corner noticed an empty table that needed to be bussed and a couple that was getting ready to leave. In no way was that an hour wait!

Waited 45 mins for a meal with 1 being the daily special which was tacos that were ice cold. Frys were warm. Told waitress she said sorry but sure didn't offer to heat, remake, or take anything of the bill. Was visiting for the towns Christmas markets which were nice but don't eat here Reserva una mesa ahora

Went for lunch mid-week early December 2021. We had two pasta dishes, pesto chicken, and also the seafood pasta. Both were just excellent. Someone knows what they are doing in that kitchen. Good value as well.

the food was excellent! great seafood and chicken options. the service was very good along with the friendliness of the staff. we live an hour away, but we'll eat here again!

The Blue Cheese Steak pasta is the best pasta dish I have ever had. Truly an amazing surprise!
