It was with quite a bit of apprehension that I settled on The Corner House for a Monday night dinner with my boyfriend’s dad last week. My experience at the restaurant’s former location on Washington Avenue was one of the most disappointing I’ve ever had in the area (dirty booths, overcooked meat, and on and on . But faced with few choices of open spots on a Monday, we rolled the dice. What a huge WIN! The renovation of the old space really achieved a supper club vibe. Nicely furnished restaurant for the holiday. We ordered the main rib, cooked for perfection and very delicate! We also had the filled mushrooms that were delicious, you will see the empty dish in which they were! Nice salad, delicious warm bread and huge baked potato. To order full dessert! New waiting staff, she was very attentive! We're going to dive again, try other drinks and get dessert!

I took my wife for my birthday. This place was fabulous and classically decorated. Wood, bronze, beautiful windows. The service was impeccable. A little on the expensive side. But it was worth every penny. The main rib was excellent. Soup was wonderful shrimp knower. Great place for special occasions. Or if you just want to pamper yourself.

We go to about 20 dinner clubs a year and this is one of the best in Wisconsin. I had the main rib, which was tender and tasty. The soups were also excellent. My wife had the fillet and it was seasoned and perfectly cooked. Service was great. We would recommend this place and be back.
