The pasties here are both tasty and reasonably priced. I'm still a bit unclear on the difference between a pasty and a meat pie, but that didn’t stop us from trying three different kinds: the classic Cornish steak pasty with potatoes and a side of 'wobble,' a creamy chicken pasty made with chicken breast, potatoes, leeks, and 'wobble' in béchamel sauce, and a cheese and bacon pasty filled with cheddar, smoked bacon, potatoes, and 'wobble.' The crispy, beautifully folded pastry edges made the pasties visually appealing. While I wouldn’t claim the filling was exceptional, these were my first baked pasties, and I genuinely enjoyed them.
very good beef paste. my hubby and I shared a medium size to lunch. great taste and the crust had good texture. compares cheaply to those of mackinac island and mackinaw city, but a better crust.
The pasties are decent, each with its own unique flavor. However, they are generally not very filling, so they may not provide the best value for your money, but they're still pretty good.
Cornish Bakehouse is one of the finest Cornish bakeries around! Their menu features a delightful array of fillings to cater to all palates, including spicy and vegan choices.
