Excellent jewel of a culinary experience in North Naples, the best in the area! The service was impeccable in this hotel's bistro-style restaurant. The theme is French/Mediterranean, with a flare everything it is. Service was top notch: attentive and informative, without being too intrusive. We had to start the sparkling water, a Bellini and a beautiful Pinot Noir, along with freshly baked warm bread served with EVOO/balsame vinegar/fresh herbs/Pamigiana cheese for diving. For appetizers we had the Cassolette D'Escargots, and these are not your usual, gummy, baked Escargot on a white plate, not here. Escargots were served Cassolette style, baked in a delicious butter, garlic and herbal sauce, the enormous taste added and the little guys kept delicate and tasty. Also for appetizers we had the Rougie French Foie Gras. That was incredibly delicious. The foie grass melts on the palate with creamy fullness that is an experience in and of itself; this dish is accompanied by Cranberry Chutney, roasted brioche, a glazed bosc pear and a port wine cassis that perfectly complements the creamy fullness of the foie grass. For the main course we had one of the specials, Lobster served on Angel Hair Pasta with Mussels, and, roasted Crispy Duck. The Angel Hair with seafood was cooked for perfection with a taste profile that explodes with the taste of the Mediterranean! The duck was a boneless, roasted half duck; the skin was deliciously crispy and made a beautiful contrast for the delicate duck meat underneath. The duck was obviously made during cooking so there is not the fat component you can get with a duck. It was perfection! Finally, for dessert with the profiterole, Vanille gelato had in a crispy French pastry, crushed in a rich Belgian chocolate sauce. We also had the mousse Au Chocolate, which my wife did not want to share with me (I got a taste). Both were a wonderful finish for such a lush meal. Kudos for Chef James Waller and his wife Darlene for this restaurant and bring such delights to the people of Naples. If you haven't even tried this restaurant yet, go! Once you do, you have a hard time not to come back!
