This little restaurant is a gem. Our hosts in Pernes recommended this place and we were so glad If you are looking for smart dining this is not the place for you. It is rustic but charming and all takes place outsideYou choose your meat (we had Iberian pork which was so tasty and tender you could not believe it was pork), which is then barbecued. You then choose your salad and it comes with French fries. If you want desert they have wonderful homemade sorbets and ice creams. Or you can have locally sourced cheese for 5euros a plateWe also had a basket of their own home grown organic vegetables done as crudités with 3 dressings. They were so fresh you could almost taste the soil!The portions...
The place is just an ordinary restaurant but this could be Ok is at least the quality of the food and of the wine proposed was at a decent level.The meat, in fairness is Ok but all the rest is really bad, the salad some folks of our group were served were not even good looking and none of those who chose salad finished them...The service is definitely at the same level as the food... average, not that the people are not nice but as usual in the south of France they have this inability to speak to people with the sense of service and who is the customer... who they tend to consider as a cash cow.anyway, just try to find another place
We ate here twice....The menu is perhaps a little limited but the quality of the food was very good indeed and we were made welcome with our dog...always a bonus. Nice atmosphere although limited cover...We did have an occasional rain drop the first time we visited. Puddings were exceptional
We visited twice during our holidays , we didn't book and managed to get a table , lovely setting and fabulous food especially the ribs so good I had them twice , desserts are really good too, the staff are really friendly , defiantly will back on our next trip

We came upon this restaurant during a walking tour of the town. We sat at an outdoor table, which was a lovely setting. My husband's lamb chop was more fat than meat. Disappointing to say the least. My salad was average. Very friendly service.
We enjoyed the ribs and the magret de canard (duck) as well as the gorgeous ice creams for dessert. Very friendly waitress and a little English spoken. Closes in end of September until March. A little pricey but worth it for a treat!
We love this lovely place. The sky is your ceiling, the food was quite good, and the service was friendly. The fries are pretty amazing and the salads were gorgeous. We enjoyed the duck--quite good and the ice cream.
Steady simple formula of salads and grilled meats. A pity the 'Ribs' are no longer on the menu this year. Perfectly placed for those visiting Pernes ...delightfull to eat under the plane trees.

Lovely courtyard with tables in the shadow, extraordinary grilled meat, great housemade desserts. Personnel is nice enough (for France :-))
