Countryside Restaurant

My husband and I kept our tradition of ordering chinese for Valentine's Day but decided to try somewhere new. I have eaten breakfast at this restaurant before and it was decent but I never knew they made Chinese food too. We googled Chinese restaurants and this one was one of the highest rated. Man were they wrong. We ordered from the menu on the website. Dinner for two said it came with soup. We did not get any. Our egg rolls were grease rolls. We also never received any plum sauce, soy sauce or fortune cookies. We ordered the kids fish for our son. Feels a bit like a greasy diner but *use* to be one of my fav places to eat. Im a vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me including delicious "mock- meats". The new owners removed them from the menu so I took a break from going there. I decided to try again and get the tofu meal but they didnt have any tofu either. I think i got cashew vegetable stirfry, which was 80% celery. The meat dish my partner ordered had more vegetable variety.

This is a great place to eat. Daily specials, great breakfast and lunch menu. Reasonably priced, full plate of food. They close around 2pm. Grandma walks around to every table and makes sure that everyone is happy with their dining experience.

This is my favorite place in Chatham. Both the food and service is just perfect!! I go there a few times a month.
