On the positive side, the location is quite convenient, being just a mile from the airport. The shuttle service was timely, although it does make the rounds to multiple hotels in the area—so if you're staying here, you might find it unnecessary. However, the negatives far outweighed the positives. I was given a room that didn’t lock properly. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they assigned me to another room that had the same issue. To make matters worse, the phone in the new room was disconnected, leaving me without a way to contact the front desk. The room was, quite frankly, not clean; I found a large clump of hair stuck to the shower wall. Check-in was smooth and pleasant, but the service deteriorated rapidly afterwards. The water station, which was prominently advertised on signs, was always empty. The restaurant in the lobby was disappointing. During checkout, I witnessed one couple taking 30 minutes to complete their process, leaving eight people waiting behind them while the manager and another staff member chatted nearby. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't great either.
The room had a smell to it. Pretty sure it 's from the air conditioner. And then the upstanding stafe, unknowingly to me, charged my credit card after checkout, after I was already given a zero balance receipt, saying it 's for rate changes and the room was already pre-paid for. Amex is already working to recover the charge. Because it was never approved or even mentioned to me. I called and spoke with Miguel, and was promised a call back from the manager, and it never came. Consumers BEWARE!!!!!!
--- **Restaurant Review:** I would advise caution when visiting this place. The phones in the rooms were not functioning, and I noticed a high frequency of car theft in the area. There was also a lot of traffic from non-customers, which was concerning. Additionally, there was a strong sewer odor near the elevator. My family and I had to stay long-term at this hotel due to flooding in our home. During our two-month stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Everyone was professional and friendly, and I truly appreciate the care and concern they showed us. Thank you all for your support. Ratings: Rooms: 5, Service: 5, Location: 5.
I didn't have the opportunity to stay at the facility however I did take the advantage of the pay to park as I took a plane trip for six days. Excellent parking and close to Midway Airport with shuttle service both ways. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel as well. I will definitely use them again.
The staff are the only nice thing about this property. For sure this is the worst Courtyard I've stayed at and I travel for a living so I've seen quite a few. The cleanliness is questionable at best, and there's a strange odor on the ground floor. This place needs renovation ASAP! Won't be back til then.
