we visited to dinner after the administration to pack a storno table, as the restaurant is fully booked. a warm welcome to the arrival and excellent service throughout. we dined from the main menu but next time will try the tasting menu. I had the lamb that was packed with flavors exceptionally and perfectly cooked. my friend went for the duck, which was again perfect great aromen and accompanied by a side of seasonal veg and potato cure. we divided the dark chocolate mousses, the divine was the candied orange peel and the chantilly cream were a decadent supplement. only a picture managed by each of the foods as was too good!
The food was delicious, however, a little pricey for what we had. Was told by the waiter he would bring spoons and finger bowls. We had finished food and were still waiting for the above. We had to ask. We had to tell the waiter we had ordered a bottle of wine as we were waiting for this as well. We had bottled tap water, which wasn't cold. Decor was in need of a spruce. Food on carpet. Leaking canopy. Drinks, i.e., cocktails, expensive. Car park big enough. Staff friendly. Although as above, saying they would get things only to arrive when we were forced to ask for them.
Food was absolutely perfect a great varied menu and excellent tastes. Service needs attention. If the maitre d’ is going to come out to greet and chat with some tables then don’t ignore others and simply walk past them without any acknowledgement. If staff are going to give fast attentive service to their favourite customers then how does that make new customers feel if they don’t belong to that same clique? I would def revisit but hope that service levels can become equal to all.
Tasty food, imo, not value for money, even on low end of prices it is expensive, which would be fine if the place was in better condition, dirty floor, food on floor etc..leaking parts in covered seating area....food tasty, service not so great,was left waiting and had to ask again for finger bowls, they forgot wine we ordered so had to remind them...no sugar was brought with coffee, servers had dirty appearance as well as dirty aprons. I had an outstanding culinary experience at this restaurant. We made a reservation for lunch on my birthday and decided to treat ourselves, and it was absolutely worth every penny. They also offer options for those on a tighter budget. The flavors were truly remarkable. The staff were both efficient and friendly. Overall, I would rate the food 5/5, the service 5/5, and the atmosphere 5/5.
Really delicious high end restaurant that is dog friendly. The menu choice was so good. It was so hard to decide as it all looked delicious. The food did not disappoint. I think the muscles were the nicest I have tasted. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us while we were on holiday to a restaurant as nice as this. What's not to love?!? Food: 5
Very nice last minute late lunch over August Bank Holiday weekend. We ended up going for a blend of the 3 course deal from the specials and main menu. It is in our opinion the best food in the Falmouth area below £70 a head. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
wonderful dinner from the special menu tonight. we have been better than we have been in 2020, not because of the pandemic. quiet ambiente, although everyone was taken table, inconspicuous and attentive service. only a relaxed quality restaurant with delicious food and a great view of the cornish!
