The wife I have been coming to The Crab Anchor for many years have always enjoyed an excellent meal. The menu is pretty extensive, beef, chicken, pasta, sea food vegetarian so there really is something for everyone. We usually visit during for weekend lunch, we don’t book have always managed to get a table OK but I suspect it may be busier during the evening. Located tucked away behind Morrisons in Southwood Village Centre. Great for large family groups or as a couple. The staff have always been polite friendly. This is a great local independent restaurant so much better than the pub chains. We will return again soon :O)
a surprise behind the back of morrisons so first impressions were not the best. a very warm welcome and positive covid management at the arrival. the restaurant was very busy for a satuday lunchtime, but the server were very efficient and stoic. the menu is awarded in wide and deep. it is not quick to eat, so please be ready to wait for a small because, but its rewarding as the quality of the food is banging on the parking is ok if not a little cramped for the chelsea tractors worth visiting and please not be removed from the car drive around the back of morrisons.
Oh my goodness, what a discovery! I just had the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. The fish was incredibly fresh, with a hint of herbs in the batter. The portion size was huge (unfortunately, I couldn't finish it all), and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were friendly as well. Definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant.
I enjoyed a fantastic Christmas meal today (December 17th) at this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and when the menu promised 'all the trimmings', they definitely delivered. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Thank you for a memorable Christmas dinner. We will definitely be returning soon.
