Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I am not a big fan of Cracker Barrel. My family met other family members from out of town. The food is just ok. I had chicken and dumplings. There were more dumplings than chicken. The chicken was shredded and tasted like it came from a large Sysco can of chicken. The best tasting dish was the turnip greens with bits of brisket and grits were great.

The food is always great, the young lady who sat my daughter and I was very kind. The waiter didn't offer water, but he served me. I felt rushed by him when we weren't even half finished with our food when the ticket was taken to me.

Really good food! If you are looking so close to home cooked, don't look further. Service was also excellent. While trying the forge from the on-site land shop, it is phenomenal!

I want to see more responsibility for the administration on the tables. See what people are missing and when they're okay. Sometimes servers are too busy and they forget things.
