The Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant is also a good place to enjoy a delicious satisfying breakfast, lunch or dinner. My favorite is their Country Boy Breakfast it comes with three eggs, potato casserole, grits, sausage gravy, choice of sirloin steak or country ham, I prefer the sirloin steak and of course their famous biscuits with butter and black berry jam makes one delicious meal and it 's available all day so if you enjoy a hearty big breakfast no matter the time of day your in for a treat at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant... The manager, whom I believe was named Jim, informed us that everything is cooked on the same grill with butter, and that the vegetables were also prepared with butter. He promised to check further. After looking into it, he returned to let us know that the vegetables were actually cooked in margarine instead. To ensure our daughter could enjoy a safe meal, he arranged for the grill to be lined with aluminum foil to prevent any dairy from contaminating her food. He then brought out a delicious chicken breast, specially made for her, along with fresh, beautifully cooked carrots—she loved it! There was no wait time, and the restaurant wasn't very crowded. Our waiter was a friendly young man. There were only about three other parties, so it was not busy at all. We ordered and received our drinks within a few minutes. However, it took around 25 minutes for the cookies and cornbread to arrive. The duck came out shortly after that. I'm not sure what caused the delay with the cookies and cornbread. The food was pretty much what we expected, although I didn't particularly enjoy the roasted okra. Aside from that, it was an average dining experience.

As much as I would love to give 5 stars I can only give 4. The food is always great but the service not so much. The wait for a table is nerve-wracking, it never seems anyone knows who is in charge. I'm no whiny Karen, but the long wait to sit, just to sit, and wait some more, that doesn't work for me. The service in NJ is horrible. The service in TN, however, was fantastic. Go figure! Enjoy!

Food was quickly served, service was sufficient, server even lit a lantern on our table and gave us cups for our refillable drinks to go. the gift shop had tons of awesome things like thia magnetic puzzle
