Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Our experience at Cracker Barrel on Merchants was quite disappointing. We were seated promptly, but after placing our order, we waited for 37 minutes before our food arrived. They were out of turkey, which was unfortunate since my husband really enjoys it. I ordered a vegetable plate, while he chose the chicken and dumplings. Unfortunately, I believe my turnip greens were spoiled. I also had dumplings as part of my vegetable selection, and both of ours were subpar. We have been loyal customers for many years, and this was by far our worst experience. I don't dine out frequently, and it had been a while since my last visit to this restaurant. The staff and ambiance were fantastic, but the food was just average and not at all like I remembered. For me, it wasn't worth it. I don't hold the kitchen staff at fault; I believe it's simply a shift in their preparation methods. I likely won't return unless there's no other option. Once again, the staff and service were excellent, but the food quality just didn't meet my expectations. Next time, I might give IHOP a try.

Emily was very attentive as always and the food was really good. Everything was a the proper temperature this time. Sometimes the veggies arent' up to temperature. It's like with two orders, the easy plate is filled but sits and waits on the fried or grilled item to be done, leaving the other plate to cool down. I like my hot food hot and cold food cold.

My order was incorrect, as three items I paid for were missing. The food came cold and wasn’t good at all. We have always enjoyed great service in the past, which is why we returned. I attempted to call twice to inform them about the missing items, but no one answered. Reserva una mesa ahora

It was delicious, our waitress Terri was a DELIGHT and recommended the food we ultimately ordered. It was SO busy and full so the noise level was a lot, but we we're comfortable otherwise.

Good country cooking. Our family has a tradition of going to Cracker Barrel on Saturday mornings for breakfast. We enjoy a relaxing morning together.

I had the French toast casserole with fruit and cream cheese on it. It's awesome! Our service was good, too.
