I already love the food and atmosphere at Cracker Barrel but what sets this one in San Marcos apart is the staff. Every single person is friendly and accommodating. The hostess was kind and easy to communicate with. The manager has a great rapport with the staff and even came over to our table to have a friendly chat. But the absolute highlight was out server Abbirae D. She was the best server I've had in a very long time and really one of the best I've had ever. She's somehow both fast and attentive. I love their menu. I have ordered the chicken fried steak, the ham dinner, the meatloaf and other delicious plates and its always so good! I especially like their cornbread. I order take-out so when I go to pick up, I always find something in their gift shop. They get me there too! But i don't mind because they have such cute stuff. During the holidays you can find some great gifts. I love the gift shop and their variety of old time candy. Love my local Cracker Barrel store.
Love coming here for some good sunday brunch! I wilk say this location is packed and will probabbly require some forward planning as it is always busy here. The food is definitely worth the wait and the wait staff is always friendly and nice even though it seems like they always have an army of people to feed. Great overall expereince, will be back.
My sister, niece, and I enjoyed our food here. My niece ordered the meatloaf and my sister and I shared the chicken fried steak plate because the chicken fried steak portion was too big and we didn't want to be carrying leftovers with us. Our waitress was super nice, I don't remember her name.
