Additionally, their vegan hamburger bun is not gluten-free, while the gluten-free bun contains no vegan ingredients. The restaurant itself was decent, but the service was quite disappointing. Our server did not take part of our party's drink order, and I had to call her over to assist us. Ordering took a long time, and while the food was excellent once it arrived, we didn't see our server again until we were nearly finished with our meals. She brought out the birthday dessert, but forgot to provide utensils, so I had to ask another server for them. Our server was absolutely wonderful, though I regret that I can't recall her name. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and promptly moved us when we mentioned it was chilly by the window. We also wanted to change our seats because we were next to a toddler in a high chair, but we didn't mention that. While we understand that families dine out, we felt that, given the restaurant's price range, sitting between a table of kids and a toddler wasn't ideal. I’ve eaten here several times. They have several vegan options including the standard impossible burger as well as sushi rolls, salad, a stir fry, and flatbreads. They used to have a watermelon poke bowl that was delicious but I no longer see that on their menu online. The “plant based” section of the menu mostly lists items with dairy cheese (last I checked, cows are not plants) but there are some that have vegan cheese options. Nothing here is better than what I can make at home but still a good option considering the limited dining options in Rochester, MN.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and the exceptional service. The menu featured standard options along with separate pages for gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. As mentioned by other reviewers, I wished there were options that catered to both gluten-free and vegetarian preferences. The food was flavorful, but the portions were on the smaller side. My meal had more rice than vegetables, and given the price of around $20, I was expecting a bit more variety in the vegetables. This is an update from my previous review on April 3, 2024.
Table was without rolled silverware for around 20 minutes. Surprised server never noticed there was no rolled silverware. Food took more than 30 min even though it was just chicken and mashed potatoes and stir fry, btw, it was not busy in early afternoon.
Crave is pretty much the only nicer place in Rochester with vegan options. The vegan truffle fries and crave roll are my favorites. It’s not cheap, expect to shell out $75 for two entrees and drinks.
Food and service was amazing!! A bit drafty as the concept of high ceilings and exposed HVAC is going to cause that to happen.
