Craven's was one of the best Caribbean food places in Westchester. I don't know what is going on as of late, but I was highly disappointed at what I was served the other day. I ordered two pieces of whiting fish, which is something I order frequently. The person who served me stated that the fish was kind of skimpy, and so an extra piece was added. I was grateful for the gesture and didn't even bother to look at what she was talking about. When I got home, I grabbed the smallest piece from the bag and was taken back on how small the fish was. Bought the stew chicken with rice and peas. The rice was gritty and not cooked right. 2nd time I bought this from them and this time I will really never buy their meals ever again. I’ll stick to their porrage and chicken soup when I’m desperate. The Jamaican Cravin in Whiteplains is actually very good but location in Ossining sucks and not worth the price which is over priced. Also gravy is heavy with bbq sauce ?
Had to be the worst patties and fried whiting I've EVER had... the fish... c'mon... really?? It was so hard and dry it may as well have been jerky.I honestly have never had a dry, flavorless patty until now. Literally was there within the last hour and it tasted like it was made at 10am.. food needs to be fresh. Sad to say, it will be my first and last time there. Very sad and disappointing.
