Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen

While passing through Covington, LA, I discovered this hidden gem of a diner, and I'm so glad I stopped in. It was hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had in years. Their menu included schnitzel—who would expect to find schnitzel in South Louisiana? I couldn't resist giving it a try. The portion was massive, topped with two scrambled eggs and cheese, accompanied by breakfast potatoes and a huge grilled biscuit. Everything was fresh, delicious, and infused with authentic Southern flair. The meal was so hearty that I ended up with enough for two meals from just one order. Crazy Pig truly impressed me with its amazing flavors. I can’t wait to return!

Absolutely loved this breakfast spot! The biscuits are phenomenal—I've seen some reviews mentioning they were too dry or crumbly, but after several visits, I've found that isn’t the case at all. It seems like some may just have an axe to grind or don't fully appreciate what a good southern-style homemade biscuit should taste like. Everything we've tried has been excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the drinks are strong and flavorful, true to Louisiana style. Highly recommend!

"I always choose to sit at the bar, and every time, it's a fantastic experience. I enjoy delicious food that is consistently beautifully presented. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, taking great care of all the tables both inside and outside the restaurant. Bartender Gabby V. does an excellent job, using daily seasonal and fresh ingredients to craft some of the best cocktails around, including a Bloody Mary you won't soon forget."

This restaurant is undoubtedly the busiest, but it's always worth the wait! Danny and Amanda are wonderful hosts who make you feel truly welcome. Even though you'll probably have to wait for a table, I doubt many people would mind. I've never been disappointed. The shrimp and grits and the pecan-crusted bacon are the best I've ever tasted! This delightful little restaurant is hidden in a strip plaza, and they serve amazing chicken and waffles—with waffles that are much thicker than the typical ones you encounter. My wife has officially named this her new favorite spot for eggs benedict. The potatoes were tender and well-seasoned. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Absolutely amazing! I only tried their traditional breakfast, but those homemade biscuits were out of this world. The sausage gravy was excellent, and the eggs were perfectly fluffy. My bellini was delicious as well. I'm from Texas, and I can't wait to return to try more while I'm here!

I've heard a lot about this restaurant from friends, so I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed at all! I ordered the eggs Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Breakfast.
