We called in here for lunch on a holiday to Brittany. The front of the restaurant is smart and the interior is homely and authentically french. There is an extensive menu with a few options for lunch on set menus and an a la carte menu too. I chose the burger and fries as on previous reviews they said it was very good. My husband had a steak. Both were great. The meat was melt in the mouth. I then had the café gourmand selection of desserts, ice cream, crème brulee and profiterole. It was again lovely. Of course known for it's crepes - this little nook has a serious little thing going for it. Using local produce and only the best in fresh meats, I tasted one of the best burger and fries in Brittany. The beauty is that, you can either eat at the restaurant or take it away to go to the nearby beaches to eat. Everything is fresh and made in-house down to the sauces. Though, not a 3 star restaurant, it is a perfect stop for a family or a couple in need of good, clean, real food at a decent price!
On a drive we decided to stop here as it looked very pleasant - it was. Our welcome was very friendly, the menu easy to understand - even in the French! The owner was utterly charming and spoke some English. The galettes we had were delicious and just what we needed. At the end of the meal we were asked if we were on holiday so the lady produced a local map and tide table for us it was just a lovely experience and thank you to the ladies who served us .
We went for lunch at Creperie La Lutine while on holiday in France. The lady who served us was lovely, very friendly and helpful and spoke very good english (after putting up with my poor attempt at French). The food was wonderful, I had chicken in a cider and mushroom sauce, I could not fault it. Our two meals with a carafe of wine only came to 30 euro which was very good value for money. La Lutine is open 7 days a week lunch and in the evening. The owners made us very welcome, Monsieur is the chef and Madame the maitre d'. I had the formule St Jacques and my husband the formule complet. The crepes were tasty and a choice of desert and a drink was part of the price. They also had steaks pasta and other dishes available. We will go again next time we are staying in the village.
Despite having no near competitors, the lady "patronne" and her team are welcoming and ready to accomodate their customers' unusual requests if they can. We were in something of a hurry so they served us quickly but with attention to detail, nevertheless taking the time to talk. I will definitely go back for a more leisurely visit next time we're in the area.
A clean and beautifully decorated restaurant on the main street in Lanmeur. We visited for Saturday lunch and were welcomed warmly by the owner/proprietor. A very extensive menu with some fixed price meals and lots of a la carte choices.Try the specialities such as Breton sausage washed down with Kerne cider!
