On a quick two day visit to Noirmoutier, we hit lucky when we plumped for the centrally located Ble Noir purely by chance for a quick bite to eat for lunch. The town is well served by eateries, but this looked busy and cosy. Not only was the lunchtime galette tasty, the dessert we sampled was top drawer, to the point we then booked there for our evening meal for the next two nights, this time indoors rather than on the terrace. Both nights it was packed with locals, the kitchen was visible, busy and turning out some great food. The set menus (which we didn't have) looked tremendous value,the portions were vast and the steak I had on both nights was absolutely superb. Well worth a look at if...

This establishment is really top by the quality of its kitchen as well as the speed of service. The staff is super kind and reactive. very good surprise that makes us return to it and strongly advise it
Our first time visiting Noirmoutier. We happened upon this restaurant in one of the squares. Friendly, efficient service. Good choice of menu. Food delicious. Will be returning before our trip ends.
