We've paid a couple of visits to Cognac during our stay in the area - this time we were caught out by rain as we walked past this cafe. Fortunately it was near the end of lunchtime so there were vacant tables inside (outside on the pavement would be great on a nice day). Tables were not too close together and service was prompt by the extremely friendly staff. I ordered the fixed price Cognac Menu (galette/crepe or ice cream/cider) - I expected a bottle of cider but it was a "cup" - still good value overall at 10e50c. We ate here at lunch time and loved it. As we arrived the waitress warned us that service would not be fast - and it wasn't, but it wasn't a problem. The food itself is excellent - a good selection of savoury galettes and sweet crepes. The classic complet galette was very good as were the other savoury options we tried. The flambé crepe for dessert (with cognac of course) was superb. It looks like a family restaurant. Staff were all friendly and it was deservedly busy with locals and tourists. Don't go if you are in a hurry - take some time, relax and enjoy being there. Prices were fair - not the cheapest, but very good value. Recommended.
After a few hours wandering round cognac in lousy weather we stumbled across this place. From the outside it does not stand out - however once inside its really lovely - gorgeous stone walls.The service - its a husband and wife team ( plus brother ) was excellent - we were to made really welcome.The galettes were the best we have ever had - a bit of crispiness around the edge , mouth watering fillings, would eat there every day if we could! Did not know that this place had such a good rating in Cognac - it deserves it!!
Immediately got a good feeling about this place thanks to the friendly brother of the chef which served us. The galettes were perfect, the 'suggestion du jour' and the 'complète'. Afterwards we had a nice chat with owner which gave us some nice site seeing tips. Thank you for this very pleasant experience. From the French-Dutch family.

very welcoming staff, good food, some of us made a bit of a mistake with the anglouienne, and the wait for the dessert was really quite long, but overall a good experience
Agree with all previous reviews. Great value and nice quality Galettes and Crepes. E10.50 for Galette, Crepe and Cidre weekday lunchtimes. Highly recommended.
Excellent value and superb crepes, both sweet and savoury. Staff friendly, spoke good English, very welcoming and well worth a visit.
Nice restaurant located in the city centre. The focus is on crepes, which are freshly made. Delicious. Great service as well.

We stopped here for lunch and had wonderful crepes, free wifi, fast and friendly service. Great little place.
Excellent food. Large choice of "pancakes" Excellent Service; friendly and attentive. Excellent atmosphere.
