We live near St Meloir des Bois and have wanted to try this creperiey for some time .We went last Friday ,taking a friend that we had staying with us The gentleman owner was pleasant but the lady was positively frosty to the point of rudeness.no chance of a smile or welcome there she was very abrupt and that actually spoilt the whole meal It appeared that if you are not French you are not welcome by her at any rate The galette so were well presented but we felt expensive However had she been welcoming we certainly would have gone back We won't bother now Maybe she felt we were just passing through It obvious she does not like English people and is more interested in local trade
Last Saturday was my second visit here and a special one as it was my birthday. Service is very good and friendly with both owners coming to see you. Apart from the normal galette,s they also do some very different ones which you do not find in other creperie restaurant's. All dishes are presented very well with added touches. As for the crepes and ice creams, well they are second to none. Even my husband could not eat all of his banana split and that is saying something!. The atmosphere is as good as the food. But you do need to book as they are very popular and very deserving of this popularity. Well worth a visit.
Wonderful home cooked crepe in a very welcoming creperie. They do a very reasonable formule du midi at €12. The galette Savoyard comes with a wonderful slice of bacon from the local butcher. If you have a good appetite and it's on the special board, don't miss the Garigette is a spectacular creation of crisp crepe (like dentelles with local strawberries, coulis of strawberry, vanilla and strawberry ice cream and lashings of chantilly. Fabulous. Really friendly family run place, quiet at lunchtime but you may need to book in the evening and at weekends as the locals love this restaurant.
We stayed in a rental property opposite this small Bar and Creperie. In two weeks we visited both the Bar and restaurant on a number of occasions. The family are very welcoming and have a great sense of humor usually at the expense of the travelers poor grasp of the French language! The food is excellent as well as the Beer and Cidre. Lovely eatery with bar ! Extensive choice of crepes and galettes,beautifully presented, plus salads and a more traditional Sunday menu,bookable 2 days before.Very friendly staff,gives you a good opportunity to practice your french !! Busy with locals some days,so booking would be advised,and specials are offered,with a galette,crepe plus drink for 14 euros
Cette crêperie nous a réconcilier avec ce genre de restaurant : nous n'avions plus faim en sortant de table et pour un prix très raisonnable !. La cheffe est super et réactive, on sent qu'elle est exigeante envers son travail: ses galettes sont généreuses et élaborées avec passion! Ses desserts un pur délices.
Absolutely excellent place, can t recommend strongly enough. Good when we went as a family with young children, and with the wife for a date. Splendid ice cream, amazing galette. Mostly home made. Nice adjourning bar too, full of friendly locals (mostly extended family of the owner!
Family-run business with a good selection of tasty galettes and crepes. Both owners attended to our table and were keen to engage in friendly casual conversation, including with the kids. Children should select the surprise crepe for dessert as they won 't be disappointed. Reserva una mesa ahora
