My daughter and I came into the hotel to grab a bite to eat. We came to the Nassau Coliseum for the Blood Manor show and were famished. We entered Cook and Kettle and the host Neil and the waitress Tia. We were treated royally. The White Chedder burger the Chef Sandwich. The food was delicious. We both had the Tito Mule drink, EXCELLENT! We came back after the event to enjoy dessert (it was my daughter's birthday and Tia and Neil went the extra mile and brought her a chocolate cake with a candle and ice cream (on top of the order! and sang Happy Birthday! I just had lunch, and it didn't meet my expectations. Right from the beginning, the server assumed we understood the menu items, but the only menu we received was a simple paper printout without any descriptions. We ordered a burger with mayonnaise and specifically requested no onions or pickles. When it arrived, it had both onions and pickles, and there was no mayonnaise at all. I also ordered a margarita flatbread, which looked more like a plain flatbread pizza you’d find in a box. To top it off, the cups on the table still had lip marks from the previous customers. It’s such a beautiful hotel, so it’s disappointing to find a restaurant like this inside.
The food is decent, but I had a disappointing experience during breakfast. The service was quite poor, especially considering it's a Marriott. The cups were dirty, as they had been left out on the table, particularly the milk. I'm not sure why they would leave the milk out like that. Overall, I felt that the value wasn't worth it.
We also dined here one evening, where the bill came to $75 for two Caesar salads, a plate of chicken wings, a non-sweet iced tea, and a top-shelf martini priced at $18. While the food was good, I found it to be a bit on the expensive side.

Prices are relatively high for hotel food, but the quality is good. It's convenient since you don't have to go anywhere but downstairs to the first floor. They have plenty of alcohol choices and plenty of seats for dining in.

The food is fresh and full of flavor. My only issue is that the sides are pricier than I would like. I should also mention that the quality of the food is excellent.
