My husband and I visited the Boathouse with family for Thanksgiving. Appetizers included hush puppies and fried green tomatoes, and both were perfect to snack on while waiting for the main course. The traditional turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes, collards and cranberry sauce did not disappoint. A couple of folks opted for seafood, and they said their lobster and shrimp and grits were equally as delicious. Desserts included a variety of pies which certainly satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth! The view of the inlet was amazing, and the service provided by our waiter, Travis, was terrific. Overall, it was a great choice that we highly recommend, and we will definitely return!
Service was slow, starter of mussels were very good, but had to wait 10 minutes for more bread which we were charged for??? Who does this with bread? I ordered blackened swordfish, what a disappointment, two small pieces, smaller than a half deck of cards, blackened too long on one side, was hard to cut. When I mentioned this to waitress. She returned and said the chef “butterflied “ the fish. Who does this to a piece of swordfish costing $34? Will not go there again.
Six of us dined together and enjoyed a variety of dishes, including wedge and Caesar salads, shrimp cocktails, crab dip, salmon BLTs, shrimp and grits, fried flounder, blackened halibut, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Everyone was pleased with their meals, and there were no complaints. The service was attentive, and the food was served quickly. We also loved the rooftop bar, which offered stunning views. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Very disappointing quality of food at a high price. Especially with the amazing alternative options nearby. We had the fried flounder and the shrimp grits did not enjoy either. We were seated on the covered patio with the blinds down (due to sun at dusk) so couldn’t enjoy the view during dinner. The walk out on the broad walk after dinner was beautiful at sunset and we saw some dolphins. Service was good and fast.

I returned to this restaurant after more than 22 years, but it didn’t quite live up to our memories. The menu was quite limited, and I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in our seafood dishes. The poached seafood was bland, the grilled shrimp didn’t taste like it had been grilled, and the scallops were overcooked.
We waited an hour for our overpriced meal. I ordered shrimp and grits, but they brought me fish and chips instead. My daughter asked for shrimp on her salad, and they topped it with overcooked chicken instead. The mussels had no flavor. There are definitely better places to eat!
Maybe a night was for the chefs. The Mac and the cheese were DRY. The brussel sprouts were not cooked enough. The hush puppies were room temp and gum. Service was great. Must go BEFORE sunset to get the full experience.
The best Hush puppies I've ever had. They had a little corn and jalapeños inside and were just fantastic. I strongly recommend darkened Mahi Mahi with corn relish along with the blue cheese Coleslaw.

We always take a date night when we travel. Especially when we take family. This was rebuilt, and it was simply amazing. The views, the service, The Food, were all 5 stars!
The service was great, but the food wasn't good at all. It was cold and the potatoes have no taste. At these prices it was extremely disappointing. It won't be back.
