This place has vastly improved under the more recent management the forever cheerful Gail and the rather dour Charlie (well he carries the burden of being Scottish). It's one of those delightful old English pubs that resists video screens and games machines. A log fire and lots of crannies to sneak into to enjoy the food. (Hint: Always try the specials). Steak salad definitely not value for money £17.95! 4 strips of steak, lettuce,small amount of cucumber,peppars a few cherry tomatoes. Small pot of blue cheese dressing. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Very good food and nice service. We just stayed the night nearby and they didnt have any food so we walked here. We were happy suprised. We will return tomorrow before we travel back to Sweden.
