Food was ok. The trout dish was very muddled and not flavours I would choose to put together again. The lamb was nice but was served with some kale which was so salty it was inedible. The service was pleasant enough but was very slow,...I don't mind a leisurely pace but when booking it makes a big deal out of the fact you have to turn the table round in 90mins for lunch. We arrived early, ordered one course and a coffee and we nearly ran to the full time. Not sure how you'd manage if you wanted more than one course. We both also left still hungry, I wouldn't rate it as good value on this basis. Obviously a lot of people think it is great but based on this experience I wouldn't visit again.

We visited here for lunch with friends who are regular customers. A friendly welcome from the staff and excellent service. The food is fresh and locally delicious. Loved the small plate option on the lunch menu and a wonderful choice of side wishes to choose. We look forward to visiting again very soon. Thank you to all staff.

My partner and I regularly visit and are never disappointed. Locally sourced ingredients are used to create seasonal and interesting menus. The food, beer and wine selection are always top tier. Breakfast is great too with superb coffee. Easily our favourite restaurant in town!

Great service from Amber who was so helpful and recommendations for dishes on her menu was excellent the food was delicious and they managed to squeeze us in Whitby our a booking
