Made a late booking for the Sunday roast spoke to the lovely Wendy the manager, over the phone she done everything she could to accommodate myself and partner. What a lovely warm welcome we got. We were welcomed like old friends. The food was amazing home cooked hot food. It felt like going to someone’s house for Christmas Day. Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. The service was spot on, the staff lovely and welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed and spotlessly clean. The prices were reasonable. We enjoyed a lovely beef roast with all the trimming including extra gravy, follows by aunties homemade pavlova. I don’t normally leave reviews, but felt I had to after visiting this gem...
A quick ‘Google’ for ‘cafe near me’ revealed this lovely little cafe/bistro. It was a spontaneous Sunday afternoon visit. We hadn’t booked but got lucky and grabbed a nice table near the open doors (lovely on a sunny day). Anyway, Sunday afternoons are ‘specials only’ rather than the usual menu. It worked well for us as my son had a wonderful roast beef meal and my wife and I had salads. The food was truly splendid and the staff were pleasant and helpful. It’s a great find for us as we don’t live far away. We’ll definitely come again. I’m told that it’s wise to call first to reserve a table as it’s understandably popular. Thanks for a great experience.
Visited for brunch with a friend as we wanted somewhere away from the hustle of Leigh Broadway. Sat outside in the lovely warm September sunshine. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the menu small enough not to overwhelm with choice. What we ordered we were both more than happy with and thought it was great value for money and came up well presented and hot. A drinks menu would be a useful addition rather than having to go through the offerings each time a customer asks. Will definitely be returning with hubby soon for breakfast or lunch. Chips fabulous!!
Lovely clean cafe but sadly let down with some of the food. Ie Chips (although hand made) were disappointing soggy and not too appealing. The fried breakfast was a let down. Cooked too quick and left to dry out under heat lamps. Toast looked like it was done in a Panini press and not too pleasant. Had to return burger as it was burnt and Christy. Staff were friendly and attentive but our food was not as nice as previous visits. Ps Burnt burger was refunded with no hesitation but it’s a nice lunch I was after not a free one.

Took the Mrs for a Birthday lunch. We reserved a table, so we weren't dissapointed at not being able to eat. Mrs had ham, egg and chips the chips were AWESOME I had to steal one from her just to try them. I had piri piri kebabs SUPERB, Cuban inspired rice was really tasty and salad was very good. A few beers and a cocktail completed our meal. Had visited before, but not been since Covid shenanigans, but will definately return more often :
I have visited this place today and it was awful, I ordered some dish that had only little amount of rice, little amount of sauce and 3 pieces of meat,The dish itself was £12.50 which was way too much for amount of food I received,I also ordered and paid for can of coke which I didn't get as it was take away,no cutlery or napkins,what a shame, won't go again
My husband myself and our daughter had a beautiful tasty lunch here today. The menu had some good choices to chose from all freshly prepared which was good for me as I'm not keen on spicy foods! Very generous portion sizes and came out quite quick. Good value for money we will return again Kind regards Kim Sloan
Fabulous cafe we stoppedhere today for lunch and it was divine. Really lovely service we were made to feel really welcome. Nice indoor and outdoor seating areas, prices were excellent.

Lovely place to eat with smiling staff no matter how busy which they always are. Great for friends to meet and make, thank you for a great meal and atmosphere.
Breakfast all I can say it was shocking deep fried sausages,happy shopper beans no flavour in the food would not be going back
