I had a very average experience at this restaurant. It used to be good, but I'm not sure what happened during the pandemic. The food lacked flavor and was quite bland. The service was slow, and the waitstaff seemed unenthusiastic; our server didn’t appear to care much about her job throughout our meal. I also noticed some younger staff members sitting in the corner by the bar, on their phones and laughing while discussing customers in Spanish. They even ran out of soft drinks, and my date said he couldn't taste any alcohol in his mojito. I ordered a paella and a calamari appetizer, and they just sat there. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
My family and I have been regulars at Cubano's for years, and the food is consistently outstanding. The staff always greets you with a smile, making you feel at home, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy having you there. My husband and I are particularly fond of their green sauce, and they always provide extra without us even asking. The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated, giving you the feeling of dining in a nice restaurant in Cuba. Be sure to have Shazam ready, as the music is fantastic. Please don't hesitate to support them, and definitely try a few mojitos!
I don't know how I missed this place, but I'm glad I finally stopped by! While I was in the area, I decided to pick up some food and went for the Churrasco a la Brasa, which is flank steak served with rice, black beans, and plantains. While I was waiting for my order, Alex offered me a drink, and I gave the mojito a try. Oh my goodness, it was absolutely fantastic! I have to admit, I felt a little tipsy afterward, but it was worth it. The mojito even came with a piece of raw sugarcane, which was a nice touch. Overall, my meal was incredibly delicious!
We had been eager to try this restaurant for quite some time, particularly during the warmer months when you can enjoy sitting outside on their front porch. We were in the mood for sandwiches, so we decided to sample their original Cubano sandwich as well as the Cubano Especial. The prices seemed a bit high, but it felt good to support a local business. We stopped by here on our way to a show in Silver Spring and we were just amazed! First of all, friendly staff, they were very accomodating and answered whatever questions we had about the food. Of course we had to go for Mojitos for drinks. I felt they were strong, but so delicious. Food itself was awesome, I gotta say the Masitas de Puerco were on point. The plate was left clean after the fact! I thought the portions were great for the price point. Gotta love Cuban

Welcoming, friendly and cozy, there?s ample seating amongst oil paintings and other decor. Staff is super kind and food is clearly all freshly made for each patron. The sangria is GOOD!highly recommend, especially to other silver springers that are considering going to dc for dinner. skip the traffic, the reservations and the disappointment and head here.
I’ve consistently visited this restaurant with large groups, and it never disappoints. The food is always incredible, the staff treats us wonderfully, and the service is outstanding. Delicious! It's my first Cuban food that I've ever had...and it is amazing! The plantain is so unique and tasty...the Pastelon de Carne Eloisa (plantain ontop of ground beef) and File de Pollo a la Parrilla (grilled chicken) areso good! Last but not least the Mojito grande...is The MUST HAVE...????????????????????????
