We chose to order the Culantro Bowl, which was available as a buy one, get one free deal on Uber Eats. We also ordered the beef empanadas. My husband enjoyed his empanada, but I found it to be just okay. The food was prepared promptly, and the bowls were delicious. However, there was not much chicken in the bowl, and the aji Verde sauce we requested was missing. Despite this, we will give it another try in the future.
This place has just become a favorite for my husband and I. The staff are super friendly enthusiastic to teach us how to pronounce the names of some items on the menu. We got our food within 5 minutes of ordering. Their sangria tastes like Christmas in a jar their passion fruit drink is fantastic! We highly recommend the chicken sandwich fries! We will probably eat here once a week.. not even kidding. WOW!
we decided to try their culantro bowl as it was offered as bogo on uber eats. we also tried the cattle-emanadas. hubby liked his empanada. it was our first time we tried. They were okay for me. the food was quickly prepared. the dishes were very good. it wasn't much huh and the aji Verde sauce we asked on the side was omitted. therefore the loss of a star will be, but we will definitely try it again.
I went to Culantro for the first time yesterday with my aunt and it was so awesome. I got the half chicken (I forgot the Peruvian name for it) with rice and beans and their traditional drink which taste so freshing. Everything is so flavorful and delicious and the hospitality from the owner Betty and her staff was so nice and it felt like I was at home. I will definitely be back to try something new. The food looks great and tastes great too. Nice to see a South American home style taste around.Tried “carne a la plancha” and the steak tasted fresh together with the fried potatoes and egg.To drink I had water, but unfortunately the water had a strong after taste and the rice got some of it too.If it weren’t for that tiny setback, I would given it 5 stars.
I loved the place! The Chicha Morada water was so good. We loved the Ceviche Peruano (If you like spicy you can order a salsa for the ceviche). The Aji de Gallina and Lomo Saltado were really good too. The owner is Peruvian and she gave us food recommendations. We had a great time here!
Culantro was great! The food was so delicious and the staff was extremely friendly. The purple carrot juice was SO good, definitely a must try! And the food was excellent and came out quickly. Great place for anyone who is new to Peruvian cuisine.Will definitely be going back!
I haven't tried much Peruvian cuisine before, but this restaurant is definitely the best I've had so far. The flavors are fantastic and the service is quick. My only critique is that the decor, presentation, and atmosphere could be improved to warrant a full 5-star rating. Reserva una mesa ahora
Peruvian here. eating is authentic and very tasty. if they are not sure what to order for a saltado (stir fry), arroz con pollo (chicken and rice) or salchipapas (hotdogs french fries) for the children. ceviche was also very good.
