Recommended to us by the guys at the Mar Blava hotel where we were staying, we decided we 'd give it a try one evening as the place we 'd originally planned to go to was closed on a Monday. The place is tucked away down a back street about 5 mins from the 'arches ' just up from the cathedral and is family owned. It 's basically their former home in Ciutadella converted into a restaurant, and this includes a little courtyard out back for al fresco dining. When we arrived, they sadly only had inside tables left, but that I guess bodes well for the place 's popularity! We had cod crayfish croquettes for starters that were excellent. The missus had salmon salad, whilst I had beef entrecote. Both were fresh, very tasty and decent sized portions. Dessert was a chocolate crepe for me and tiramisu for her. Again, nice portions and fresh made. If you 're looking for a traditional tapas type place, this might not be for you as the selection on that side of things was a little lacking, but the menu was otherwise pretty varied and decently priced. Service was good, quick and came with a smile. It 's clearly a popular spot as during our meal, a number of people came in and were turned away as there was no space left. Two couples even parked at the bar to wait it out. Total for shared starter, 2 mains, 2 desserts, a beer, glass of rose and a sort drink was just under 60 euros. Decent. Worth a visit. I don 't think you 'll regret it.

This review is based on 3 dinners we had sitting in the cosy patio. Service improved in terms of speed after the first, terribly slow, experience. Starters are interesting and flavoursome, as well as refined. The main courses, however, are a little bland and not very copious, although the ingredients are good and fresh, and the meat and fish are cooked well. For an establishment that prides itself on local produce I am astonished that so little place is devoted to mediterranean vegetables and that the « plato principal » basically has a mere garnish of .... potatoes. We tried desserts once and they lacked taste. All in all, a bit of a mixed bag, with potential to do better! I would like to give a score of 3 and a half!

What a great great experience. Food prepared from fresh ingredients and soooooooo tasty. In particular to highlighted are the ceviche (super fresh fish, and dwlicious), the patatas al horno with calamar and gambas where not only was the seafood incrwdibly fresh and tasty, the sauce based on oil with spices in which it was all cooked was out of this world. This dish was by far the best I have had in 10 days in Ciutadella. Last but not least, the camomile pannacotta was mind blowing. Fresh, delicious. A place worth a visit and a place I will return to.

We have been there twice and each time it was a success! The menu is very original, taste were awesome (evenif for one, there was a bit too much olive oil). The place was peaceful with a terrace with 2 levels on an interior courtyard. Staff were very nice too. We highly recommend this place.
