This restaurant isn't a bad choice for a quick meal. While it is a bit pricey, that's to be expected in tourist areas where options are limited. I would recommend sticking to the basics; we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich, but it was underwhelming for $16-18, including fries, and I wouldn’t order it again. On the positive side, the Jumbo Hotdog for $5-6 was one of the best I’ve ever had and worth every penny. The Onion Rings were decent but just your standard frozen variety; they were okay. The highlight here was definitely the Ice Cream; for around $12, you can get two single scoop waffle cones and a single scoop cup—an excellent way to wrap up a wonderful day at the beach. The highlight of our experience, however, was the staff! Everyone was incredibly friendly and courteous. On our last day, Hope attended to our milkshake order and was incredibly thoughtful about our special requests. Cathy also made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in. As a queer couple in rural Ontario, this sense of acceptance was particularly meaningful to us. Next time we camp at Sandbanks, we plan to pack a little less and spend more time enjoying Currah's lovely patio. This is the restaurant and café located next to the park store. They offer a limited selection, including a vegan burger. You'll also find ice cream and several non-alcoholic drink choices. The seating options include both indoor and outdoor areas, with shading available for sunny or rainy days. Overall, my experience was enjoyable.
