Curry House Coco Ichibanya, Koreatown

Food was pretty solid 4/5 stars. I got the chicken cutlet curry with cheese topping and a side of Thai iced tea. This is my go to Japanese curry place. This review is mainly for the parking situation. I usually go to the one around Westwood/Sawtelle because parking in Ktown is a nightmare but that one is temporarily closed. This location offers two hours of parking validation but the parking situation is extremely confusing. I believe there are three parking areas: two which are basically in the same structure: one for Hmart and the other for the Filipino embassy. CoCo Ichibanya is a perfect lunch spot in LA's Koreatown, offering some of the best curry dishes in the city. The chicken katsu was delicious, and probably a must-try if you come to CoCo. We also ordered an omelette-style egg curry with a seafood mix and with the add-ins, I found it delicious as well!I came here on a time crunch and was able to be in and out in 25 minutes. The portions are also very generous and I left with more than enough food to take to-go.I'd highly recommend coming here for a delicious quick bite if you're in the area.

WOW, this was the worst meal I've had in a while.I used to LOVE this place and in Japan, Irvine and other locations I've never had an issue.This was unbelievably bad, I ordered delivery and not only was the cheese that I paid for missing, but the amount of chicken, along with how it was inedible was UNBELIEVABLE! The chicken was HARD...?! For almost $30....Never AGAIN! I will never come back to this restaurant. Time to try other curry spots. Waste of time and money. Look at the photo of this chicken, Omg the owners should be ashamed.

Perfectly Crisp, authentically spicy (asked for the third level spicy) and beautifully flavoured and served by extremely friendly staff and very affordable.Food: 5/5
